Challenge yourself. Try a zero waste lifestyle!
When you wrap your leftovers into plastic wraps or containers, toxins and chemicals are likely to leach into the food. The compostable Abeego food wrap is an alternative to protect your food and your health.

According to its size, you can use Abeego to wrap sandwiches, herbs, fruits, cheese, or to cover bowls of leftovers.
The wrap is self-adhesive so just use the pressure and warmth from your hands to shape and mold Abeego over or around your food.
We recommend hand wash in COLD water with biodegradable dish soap for the longest lifespan. Hang to dry or towel dry for immediate use. If unsoiled, (ie it’s been covering a bowl of salad) just reuse or store Abeego in a clean, dry place - such as a kitchen drawer - until next time.
Wrap & wash for a year or longer then order more of the sizes you love, because once you Abeego it, you’ll never want to be without it.
Be careful! Abeego is made of beeswax and thus is not suitable for hot temperatures! It is neither suitable for the dishwasher, microwave oven and direct heat. Allow food to cool slightly before covering and avoid placing hot food directly on your Abeego.
We recommend you avoid the temptation to cut your Abeego. As it lasts more than a year and you might need a different size later and you can always over-wrap an item.
Beeswax, tree resin, organic jojoba oil infused into a hemp and organic cotton cloth.

You can wrap avocado, melons, onions and pretty much any fruit or vegetable. Only pineapple has been known to eat Abeego.
The material is insulating and breathable so it is a perfect cover for rising bread dough. It is also suitable for covering fermenting foods such as yogurt and buttermilk.
The coating is fluid resistant, so moisture will not leak through the actual fabric.
We suggest avoiding direct contact with raw meat. Instead, place leftover and raw meat in a dish, cover and store in the refrigerator.
Abeego can wrap frozen food for a short time (1 month is the limit).
Keep food alive.
Abeego was created to save your food and to help you reduce your waste. The brand fights against the use of plastic wraps and containers which cannot be recycled and which leach chemicals into food. Beeswax wraps are natural, zero waste and sustainable alternatives that keep food fresh and healthy.
Abeego was founded in Canada in 2008 by Toni Desrosiers, a nutritionist and entrepreneur, who started her business as an experiment in her kitchen. Aware of the dangers of BPA, she wanted to create a plastic-free product inspired by the way people used to naturally store food before plastic wrap. 9 years later, her beeswax food wraps are sold across the US, Canada and in many other countries around the world.
